Total Knee Replacement (TKR) Implant
Anatomically accurate knee implant CAD model focusing on biomechanics, material specifications, and regulatory compliance.
The project
Project overview
This case study presents a CAD concept for a total knee replacement implant, with attention to the relationship between anatomical form, component geometry, and material considerations. It is a design-development example, not a claim of clinical validation or regulatory approval.
Implant geometry must be considered in relation to anatomy, movement, and the interfaces between components. The model also needs to communicate its shape and design intent clearly for technical review.
The CAD work focuses on controlled surfaces and component relationships, with engineering analysis and technical documentation as supporting design activities. Further clinical, regulatory, and manufacturing validation would be required for real-world use.
A reviewable implant design concept and technical starting point for qualified engineering and medical-device evaluation.
